Situated at Enderby Wharf, Greenwich, the site is situated opposite to Tower Hamlets across the river, which has the highest percentage of children in poverty in the UK. In this project, I intend to create a playful, enjoyable and colourful sugar blowing workshop, in which children can not only play with sugar to make different artefacts but also smash the sugar balloons on the wall and take the toys embeded within. Together with a house for my client, a toy and sugar artefact maker, I exploited the potential of a non-architectural material, sugar, to let it become different architectural elements in my design.
